available project talent budget, and lead in time. My minimum rates break down this way: commercials for TV or internet vary, $100 per minute of finished
narration audio delivered for videos and documentaries, or $1 per word for lengthy jobs based on total word count; $25 per (voice only) or bulk rate
for radio imaging liners; while movie trailer voice over and character voices for video games and animation are negotiable, can include total buyout
or occasionally involve residual payment contingent to duration of usage. Other factors like market size matter as in the case with TV and radio commercials, promos, and radio imaging.
Are they for national or local broadcast? Obviously the larger the market, national broadcast being the largest, a higher rate can be expected. Negotiation is the best tool in arriving at a mutually agreeable price taking into account
available talent budget, otherwise standard rates may apply. When the project budget is fixed, it's best to disclose the appropriated amount for the voice over talent online.
